Blueberry Tarts

Recipe: Blueberry TartsSummary: The all-butter crust is hard to beat!IngredientsCrust: ½ cup cold butter 1¼ cup flour ¼ teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon - ¼ c cold water Filling: 4 cups fresh blueberries 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoon cornstarch ½ teaspoon nutmeg Instructions Mix flour and salt together. Cut butter into mixture and hand mix until crumbly. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time. Place in fridge and chill. Combine sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg. Add blueberries and gently stir to coat berries. Load pie shells and dot with butter. Cover with crust. Dust with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350° for 35-40 min. Recipe: Sour Cream Pound Cake Summary: My sister, Nancy, gave me this recipe and it's quickly become a Decker Boy fave! I was helping a friend with her wedding reception dessert table and decided to bake a layer cake using this recipe. I usually bake it in a bundt pan and wanted to make sure it would work as a layer cake. At least one of my kids begs his wife to cook it for him, and she reluctantly complies. You’re a good wife, Corey. Recipe: Chocolate Lava CakesSummary: I had a craving.  Not really a news flash.  However, I needed a chocolate lava cake and I didn't have a recipe.  I searched the internet, checked the contents of my pantry and this is what I came up with.  Jeff thought they needed nuts.  What do you think?Ingredients 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips ¼ cup butter ½ teaspoon vanilla ¼ cup sugar 2 tablespoons flour ¼ teaspoon salt 2 eggs Instructions Melt chocolate chips and butter.  Add vanilla. Recipe: Barbara's Pound Cake Summary: My step-mom, Barbara Morris, made this pound cake one Thanksgiving and my family went crazy for it. It starts with a butter cake mix, so I feel like I'm cheating. I don't really have a problem with that... Ingredients 1 18.25 ounce yellow butter cake mix 1 cup sour cream 4 eggs ½ cup sugar ¾ cup vegetable oil 3 tablespoons water 1 teaspoon vanilla Instructions Grease and flour 12 cup bundt pan.
