Meatballs and Mushrooms October 30, 2010 Recipe: Meatballs and Mushrooms Summary: Another June Morris special... Ate this about one go-zillion times growing up. Just be grateful I'm not digging out the recipe for the nasty white cream sauce and weird, dried, formed beef-like substance and served on toast. Some memories NEED to be supressed. Ingredients 1 pound ground beef 1 tablespoon chopped onion 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper ⅔ cup bread crumbs 1 can evaporated milk 1 can cream of mushroom soup ½ cup water Instructions Mix ground beef, onion, salt, pepper, bread crumbs and ½ cup milk. Fry meatballs in skillet, turning often. This method makes a big mess, but the flavor is much better. OR Bake meatballs at 400° for 20 minutes. Mix remaining milk, soup and water. Simmer with meatballs 30 minutes. Serve over rice, pasta or mashed potatoes. Microformatting by hRecipe. Share Share on Facebook Tweet Tweet on Twitter Pin it Pin on Pinterest
