Barbecued Beef Brisket October 13, 2010 Recipe: Barbecued Beef Brisket Summary: My boys love beef. Pretty much any cut, any cooking method, any seasonings. This brisket will turn out delicious either baked or grilled over indirect heat. Ingredients 5 – 6 pounds brisket, trim fat 2 onions, sliced thinly 1 head garlic, minced 2 jalapeno peppers, chopped ½ cup brown sugar ½ cup Worcestershire sauce 2 cup barbeque sauce 1 cup water ½ cup ketchup Instructions In roasting pan, spread garlic, onions, jalapenos. Place brisket on top. Mix all other ingredients in bowl. Pour over brisket. Its most tender if it cooks in the gravy. Cover tightly with foil. Grill or Bake at 350° - for the following times_ 1½ hours – 1-2 pounds 2½ hours – 3-4 pounds 3½ hours – 5-6 pounds 4½ hours – 8-9 pounds Remove meat from pan and allow to rest 10 minutes before slicing. Skim fat off pan drippings and serve with brisket. Refrigerate left overs in separate container from gravy. Microformatting by hRecipe.
