  • 1 - .78 ounce pkg taco seasoning mix
  • 1 - .4 ounce pkg dry Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Sour cream
  • Salsa

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, drain.
  2. Add corn, beans, tomatoes and seasoning mixes. Heat through.
  3. Serve over tortilla chips or Fritos.
  4. Garnish with cheddar cheese, sour cream and salsa.

Variations

I've seen other recipes that add chopped onion, browned with the ground beef, green chilies, garlic or cumin. It all sounds good to me.

  2. Over medium-high heat, bring mixture to boil.   Reduce heat and simmer 1½ - 2 hours.
  3. In a medium sauce pan, over medium heat, melt butter, stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Add salt and pepper.
  4. Remove bone.
  5. Stir thickened sauce gradually into hot soup. Do not boil.
  6. Add cubed ham and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
