Cajun Barbecued Shrimp Recipe: Cajun Barbecued Shrimp Summary: I first had this shrimp at a Christmas party, hosted by my boss. I went crazy for it and I wasn't even trying to kiss up to the boss. It quickly became another Decker boy fave and it's going to be a favorite at your house, too. Ingredients 1 cup vegetable oil 1 cup butter 1½ tablespoons pepper 2 teaspoons rosemary, crushed 3 Bay leaves 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper ½ teaspoon oregano ½ teaspoon basil 1 tablespoon hot Hungarian paprika ½ teaspoon salt 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 tablespoons ketchup 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 3 lbs raw, tail-on shrimp (18-20 count) 2 loaves French bread Instructions Melt butter in heavy pan. Add oil. Add herbs & spices. Simmer over low heat 10 minutes. Add shrimp, cook 2 minutes. Bake at 425° oven for 10-12 minutes, turning once. Serve with French bread. Microformatting by hRecipe.
