Butterscotch Sauce

Recipe: Butterscotch Sauce

Summary: This is a nice alternative to caramel.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ½ cup light Kayro syrup
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except cream and bring to a simmer.
  2. Stir while sugar melts and mixture thickens.
  3. Slowly add cream and heat through.

Grandma always served this over cake and coffee ice cream.
